The objective of this academic development symposium is to unpack the topical challenges facing higher education in South Africa, and to create a space for higher education practitioners and facilitators to share practical examples and case studies of interventions that contributed to the success of students. Keynote speakers will address the challenges and opportunities within the dynamic landscape of higher education in South Africa.
Practical workshops will unpack the following key areas, supported by practical examples:
- Responsive curriculum initiatives
- Literacies interventions to bridge the articulation gap
- The effective use of ICT and social media as teaching and learning tools
